Ive been slacking...i think i mention that on every post.....however this time its because im figuring out a whole new world of work.....fun work though....

this 15 going on 2 year old decided he wanted to try and steal a wallet...bad idea this time...he gets caught and has possibly the scariest cop of all time tell him that "since he lied to him he mind as well die, go to heaven, and smack god in the face.." needless to say it scared him. we never did find out his name or get his pic....but spread the word sixth ave aint gonna deal with theft....we have cops that will bring down the wrath of god now.

Im just making this post so that im not lolly gagging and having random videos/pictures building up on the camera. So heres a couple pictures from the foxworthy thing, which i didnt really have time to use a camera when i had to serve hundreds of folks with one pitcher of lemonade and coffee. This isnt a complaint of course, just a little crazy when you have about 12 of us serving drinks who have never been waitors/waitresses before in our lives...not to say i dont do it at bingo, thats a different kind of crowd, no well dressed fat check book types, more along the lines of just fat and rude types with that tiny town crowd. Enough of that, just look and maybe be amused.

ready for carving...they turned out pretty bad...ily carved aimlessly in all directions(like usual) ending with who knows what....then the mr ugly(yes, like the famous pez dispenser/i did that because that was the pumpkin styles name as well) turned out really bad, it just got super chunk everytime a knife even looked at it.

It seems as though my camera pulled a disappearing act, only to end up in ilys car somehow. There were plenty of adventures, odd situations, and good times while mr olympus was in his little hiatus. We had a day out with in a bus full of dirty skaters, flat screens, bad energy drinks and an even worse soundtrack, followed by an all-terrain austrian military vehicle with the campabilities of towing you into "spots" at break neck speeds. Unfortunately rob found this out the hard way by sliding into a dumpster at 35mph, its also unfortunate that i didnt get the pictures from matts camera he let me use...hopefully mr strosnider will come through with footage soon. But back to the military vehicle, theres nothing like getting wired on a can of high octane adrenaline fuel and then being tossed at a hunk of concrete, hold on tight to your k slims and brace for hell and high water, so to speak. All in all another good experience with a huge corporation throwing money at skateboarding hoping we will turn our friends onto their product while out in the urban sprawl performing our stunts....heres random stuff that has nothing to do with what im rambling about.

Rocketown fundraiser's main attraction this year? Jeff Foxworthy...so i guess they decided make the whole place look ridiculously redneck with a ton of bass pro shop stuff and tires on the porch....

Geo came in to try and some pants...."Everytime i find pants that fit good this happens" he exclaimed....then stepped out of the dressing room with a good 5ft of extra pant leg hanging around his ankles.

so he cuffs...and still a good 50 feet of extra material....

Read sports the same pants...they fit normal....geo on the other hand suffers from a problem of not having shins...its thighs knees and ankles....skipping a good half of the normal leg...

the pictures are all good...but this takes the cake...the one they call read blankenship breaking yet another one of his biggest rules...no teck decking...here i had to go undercover using our sixth ave cameras to get this shot....enjoy and give him a good load of crap for doing this....suck a butt blankenship.

I was challenged and no one had any faith in me.....i mean its ok i guess...when you haven't ran even a mile in a few years it makes sense that one wouldn't be able to do it swiftly. Maybe i should just explain the whole ordeal....I joined the two Blankenship's along with Heather and Ily for a cigar sit down, and of course when the two Blankenships are involved its only natural for some kind of wager to worm its way into the conversation. In the scenario it was running a mile, i had made outrageous claims that i could do 8, even running from my house to rocketown, which i still believe i can at some point. But back to the wager, Read, T-Blank, Heather, and of course Ily all said i couldnt do a mile in under 10 minutes, which involved alot of hill climbing around Reads neighborhood...i said i can run a mile maybe not in ten....i underestimated even myself. Read and Heather ate a lot of food and almost spewed while running....i paced my self, didnt push it at all, and finished easily in 8.30....im sure i could have done it easily under 8 mintues...the hills are the big factor. Either way i won my dollar and proved all of us wrong.

Alright, so the park can be a little slow on saturday nites when 11pm rolls around. The locals are still usually hanging out and skating, but last nite got a little weird....and horrible music blared through the loud speakers....

although he wasnt there at 11, julio would have fit right in....here we see him wearing his litle sisters shin guards...he claims they would protect him while working on 50-50s on tbe rail.

im not sure if they are really going to work if they only cover 1/4 of the shin.

and for the main event....you have to watch closely. This is another case were im glad we have cameras in the park...now if i can only link them directly to bush league for a live feed....

So i did this krooked contest were you send in all the pieces of a puzzle to deluxe, then dan drehobl draws a krooked graphic for you....well i waited quite a while and didnt ever get a t shirt so i just firgured oh well it is dan drehobl we are talking about...he was probably doing pivot fakies somewhere in san fran. Then out of no where, about a month later, i get a package, in that package i find an awesome krooked t i didnt own(which is a rarity). The only downside side was that it wasnt an og dan drehobl graphic, couldnt complain because it was a free shirt right? well i was suprised a second time when two days later after i layed it out to dry from a fresh washing that there was a dan graphic! a hidden one! wow, made it that much more radical! it was camoflauged in the t-shirts natural habitat...hidden in the clouds...literally! and once again reaffirms krooked as awesomeness!

Alright, first off, i have stuff to post for multiple days now, yes yes. So here's the first. On my weekly trip to guthrie i decided to stop off at my dad's flea market to look around...always good stuff in there. Well this trip was extra awesome because i found some extremely creepy stuff...as well as the two new residents of the flea market....two cats! They are abby and martha...named after the old women who poisoned wine and "put old widowers out of their misery" in the movie Arsenic and Old Lace, havent seen it? watch fools...its hilarious. They were previously owned by two older women who probably did the same thing. So below you can see the two old old old old old cats and some creepy stuff as well.

Lets face it...back in the day people were very blatantly racist, it was kind of unbelievable, it just doesnt make since that this was actually acceptable...or even a real company! oh and the dealer was selling it for 25 bucks...

if i walked into macys and saw this used to display hats.....

however, i think this tops the toothpaste fan from above.....a picture framed of a dead man in a coffin....what the hell....and the dude actually looks kind of like john wayne gracy to be honest....

this is martha...she wouldnt look at the camera...she always look made bacause of the way her fur is.

So, ive missed a couple posts..again..well ive been busy...again. This weekend was great of course and i should have gotten a lot of clips and pics of the bbq/event on saturday, but i didnt...again. I just need to learn how to mulitask. Well heres the how it all went down, if you werent there...thats your fault cause you missed out on a rad day and dont deserve to know what happened. However that night matt and andy's band, Ranch Ghost, if you didnt already know played a show....they are very good at the rippin and a tearin of the instruments. they got a good different sound to them that makes people smile and move their hips...heres just a few pics i managed to get from the back wall of a very small room.

alex showed up late...but he was still hyped...he's a good dudes...and smooth on a skateboard as well.

So we had our gatorade contest again this weekend....there were locals, there were out-of-towners....but i think it was the best mesh of the two yet....everyone had a great time. Im not cut out for this. The beach, the late mornings, or the salt water. I'm more of a wake up at 8 a.m. and have a purpose kind of guy...even if that's just going down to the park to call geo a bailer. Of course i liked the change of scenery and spending times with good company, but it became very clear on this expedition of relaxation, that i'm clearly not built for the hawaiian shirt. Maybe it was the giant gulp of sand and salt that i consumed upon my first leap into the ocean, or maybe it was looking at the clock that read 2:45 p.m. when i opened my eyes the next morning....or....maybe its just in my blood. Jimmy Covington maybe the one to blame. The Covington roots are buried and stretch deep into the soil of work. Well, thats not to say that i have a stressful, getting your hands dirty, come home exhausted, kind of job..because i don't......I'm merely saying i like having something to accomplish everyday. This, once again, isn't me saying i didn't have fun, oh i did, riding bikes for miles without even pedaling, digging holes for absolutely no reason, it was all good, just a rant on why i'm not your average vacationer....it looks as though i may forever be doomed to not understanding whatever it is that the guy who wears the way to small speedo chasing down a frisbee on the beach, and that...i can deal with. So there it is just another complaint from nathaniel....enjoy.

Occasionally...like thanksgiving ones....but not that smelly salmon in the back of the fridge from golden coral....stay away from that....its bad news bears..heres some decent leftovers...kind of like the papa johns pizza you throw in the oven for a minute or two to make them almost as good as new, enough jabbering....heres the meat and potatoes...errr pizzza...

these guys were everywhere....awesome and definitely not scared of people.

we were in search of some horrible tavern probably....but we passed this place...pizza? subs? the name is fat baby's? oh we gotta check it out. As soon as i walk in the smell of fresh...thats right..fresh hand tossed dough is in the air and norman greenbaum is belting out one of the best jams ever...SPIRIT IN THE SKY! so we order a couple calzones and whats that? pepsi on tap...thats two good things this place has...oh but wait...then the hollies-long cool woman in a black dress comes on...in my top three as well....it just kept getting better. Then i hit the damn trifecta...as the calzone is coming out of the oven good ol' winwood and his boys kick out gimme some lovin....oh dear lord...and that calzone was one king hell bastard of meal.....

David , its seems as though the study you have been doing on the hipster group of nashville may have a similar tribe of peoples off the coast of the atlantic. On my most recent expedition to an island off the coast of South Carolina, known as Hilton Head, to the natives had many of the markings of the ones that go by "hipsters" all over the island. They had strategically placed them in all areas of life....the architects as well as the marketers of the island may possibly be sending out the triangular shape subliminally in this way, intrapping the natives to become part of their tribe....in conclusion the " hipster regime's long lanky clamy hand has stretched much farther than we orginially hypothesized....here is the evidence of my findings....along with other interesting items....

I got bupkis. Bike rides all over the island. digging holes. ily watching every word i type...thats un-nerving. The vacation so far has been...well a vacation, hanging around, however, im just waiting for the storm, metaphorically speaking.....to hit of good stuff to post. in the meantime...i will continue to just post stuff just so i have something to do till we get out of the house....

Leaving the 100 degree heat of nashville to spend some time in....100 degree heat in hilton head, but we have the ocean. Along the way of course you have to stop for gas...gas stations always have the best gear in the world...for instance, rednecks need bumper stickers that express their bad assery and of course they also have pieces of the shane weston signature collection....

Big day saturday. Lots of people skating....real big crew. Reveal dudes, who are really rad and throw down....but some how i didnt manage to get a single photo of...the 222 gentlemen....and then the usual dudes....with a mystery guest, shorty, who rolled through town to show the converse line and decided to stick around and skate/eat burritos....it was a good day for all....heres the meat and potatoes.

So we were driving along and look up on this hill that over looks the nashville skyline...there it is! a coyote! just hanging out watching nashville......then this happened....

Matt to the Coyote: " Hey! i have a phobia of coyotes..."

he was thinkin fakie feeble....but then he just rolled away into the sunset with out a care in his mind....

So sixth avenue hosted the hometown heroes contest on sunday....thought it would be a really rad contest..however....i thought wrong. First off you should never expect a contest that has sponsors like tech deck and chipotle to be good...i don't mean the skateboarding end, im mean the people putting it on. Tech deck, ok for the kids i get it, this is open division crap meaning no little 7 year old, for the most part, will be throwing down fakie tre lipslides. then there's chipotle...give me a freaking break, the place blows....baja burrito (who has burrito in its name) knows you dont just serve chips and burrito only! you gotta throw in fish tacos, salads...damn i dont even like it but fruit tea! these are all good reasons i believe and im sure most would agree....so down with the HH! heres some photos and stuff.

This thing is bad...real bad....the only thing they had going is patrick melcher...he was awesome.

Rob got robbed, and bad. landed a ton of tricks...smooth...and the crowd loved him. so theres another reason HH is more bush league than anything ive ever seen.

however, subway did bring back the prok sandwhich...yes yes.

the absolute best part of the day was david woods run...he's always fun to watch at contests...skating with his hands in his pockets...eating it on the old 7ft...and then he topped it all today.....tn beast dress...with an airhorn. good idea with the horn, he found a way to heckle, clear the way, and keep opponents from landing tricks.

Got a bunch of these wooden block...and paint...so when i get bored im gonna paint characters from different movies, books, life, etc. heres the first...the FURIOUS THREE! the baseball furies. they were the best gang in the movie although their skill did not show it. still my favorite....up next...maybe lopan.

Hopefully this card reader deal will be the last pothole in the road for bush league...again with having trouble posting regularly. but here we go. rob of course supplies the good times, and slams....that part sucks but for once blake wasnt the guy hitting the ground...enough of that.
